Pietermaritzburg is insufferably hot and humid in the summer months. Business men and women find Fourwinds a restful and cooler stopover the night before meetings in the city, only twenty minutes away.

Indigenous garden
One thing you will certainly appreciate if you like to take a quiet constitutional after dinner is their extensive indigenous garden; lovely proteas and aloes and a marvelous veggie garden.
Our newsletter is entitled "create a cyan zone" at your home, preserving both yourself and Mother Earth for future generations; and the family too, of course. We promise not to spam you with daily emails promoting various products. You may get an occasional nudge to buy one of my books.
Here are the back issues.
Should you decide to enjoy dinner at Four Winds, you can be sure that many of the vegetables will be straight from the garden.
Remember to ask if Dennis' curry is on the menu; he's a master of the herbs and spices, and Jill's salad bowl is without equal.
At this time, late winter you, find Jill is able to update you on how to grow broccoli and it's sure to be on the dinner table. It's number one in the anti cancer stakes.
Try them, you'll love Four Winds.
